Construction Material Freight, Nationwide

We arrange construction material transport nationwide — supply houses and fab shops to your job site — with authorized carriers. Headquartered in Tampa, moving freight in all 48 states.

Why contractors call us

Keep your crew on the job

Every material run a superintendent hands to a field employee is billable, skilled time spent driving instead of building. Capital Site Logistics handles the run so your people stay where the work is.

Your supplier has it. Your jobsite needs it.
We arrange pickup of the will-call order from the supply house, distributor, or fab shop and get it run straight to the site with an authorized carrier, so no crew member spends half a day driving.
A skilled hour on the road is a skilled hour lost.
Sending a foreman or PM across town for a part means paying skilled labor to sit in traffic. Handing the run to us — and an authorized carrier — keeps that time on the job.
The schedule doesn't wait for a missing pallet.
When a material shortage threatens the pour, the inspection, or the next trade, tell us the constraint — expedited runs are quoted against timing, distance and access.
One point of contact, start to finish.
Send the pickup, the drop, and the window — coordinating the run is our job, not one more thing your super tracks between trades.

Defined term

Construction logistics
Coordinating the transportation of construction materials and equipment from suppliers, will-call counters, warehouses and jobsites to the sites that need them — supplier pickups, scheduled and same-day jobsite delivery, multi-stop runs and site-to-site transfers. Capital Site Logistics is a licensed property broker: it arranges and schedules each run with an FMCSA-authorized carrier, quoted against the load, the timing and site access.

Two specialties, one dispatch

Construction is the specialty. Audiovisual is the second.

Capital Site Logistics coordinates project and commercial transportation for the companies that keep construction and live production moving — materials to the jobsite, equipment to the venue.

Primary specialty

Construction & jobsite logistics

Material at the supply house, a crew waiting on site. We arrange pickup from the supplier, distributor or fab shop and get it run to the jobsite with an authorized carrier — so a contractor's skilled hours stay on the build, not on the road.

Construction delivery

Second specialty

Audiovisual equipment transportation

Gear that has to be at the venue on time. We coordinate transportation for AV rental houses, production and staging companies — warehouse to venue, venue to venue, and the return run after the show.

AV transportation

More than construction freight

Construction logistics is our specialty, not our limit.

Not moving construction materials? Send us the load details. CSL evaluates general freight and other commercial transportation requests based on cargo, route, timing, access and vehicle requirements.

Eligibility is confirmed per request against the cargo, dimensions, weight, route, timing, loading and unloading requirements, and access at both ends. Sending a request is not a booking.

FAQ

Freight and jobsite delivery questions, answered

Don't see your question? Send us the details and we'll get you a clear answer.

No. Construction logistics is our specialty, and general contractors, suppliers, and jobsites are our primary focus. We also evaluate palletized freight, business equipment, fixtures, inventory, supplier and warehouse transfers, and other commercial loads. Availability depends on the cargo, dimensions, weight, route, timing, access conditions, and the vehicle the load needs. We do not run hazardous or regulated material, temperature-controlled freight, oversized or overweight permit loads, or anything requiring heavy-haul, crane, or rigging equipment.

Where it is picked up, where it is going, what is moving, roughly how much of it there is, and when it needs to arrive. Approximate weight and dimensions help, and estimates are fine — "not sure" is a valid answer on the form. It also helps to know how the load will be loaded and unloaded at each end and whether either location has access limits like a gate, a dock, a forklift, or a tight approach. With those details we can tell you whether the run is something we can take, what vehicle it needs, and what it costs. Sending the request is not a booking — availability is confirmed when we quote it.

Runs are arranged nationwide, across all 48 states, with an authorized carrier matched to each lane. Capital Site Logistics is headquartered in Tampa, FL, so Tampa Bay is where the roots are — Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, and Polk counties, including Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Brandon, Riverview, Lakeland, Wesley Chapel, and Plant City — and the rest of Florida is regular range too, along the I-4, I-75, and I-95 corridors through Orlando, Jacksonville, Sarasota, Fort Myers, Naples, Ocala, and Gainesville. Longer lanes anywhere in the country are quoted case by case against the load, the route, the timing, and available capacity. Send the pickup and the destination and the lane gets confirmed before anything is scheduled.

Same-day is a service you can request, not something that is promised in advance, and it is realistic mainly inside the Tampa Bay home market. Whether a run works today depends on where the load is, when the origin releases it, the distance, and the access window at the destination. Longer Florida and out-of-state runs are planned around drive time rather than same-day. Send those details and you get a yes or a no when the run is quoted.

Yes. Will-call and staged orders can be pulled from the supply houses, distributors, and fab shops you already buy from — branches like Ferguson, Foundation Building Materials, Builders FirstSource, Tampa Steel, or Gerdau. Send the account, the PO or pickup number, and the branch, and the pull is handled inside the run.

It depends on where the material is, where the site is, and the time of day. A cross-town run inside Hillsborough is short; a Pinellas pickup headed to Pasco is not. Send the pickup and the site and you get an arrival estimate before you build the day's sequence around it.

Distance and drive time, how tight the timing is, the size and weight of the load, the vehicle it needs, whether it is a single stop or multi-stop, and the handling and wait time at each end. Cost is described as those factors and quoted per run — there is no flat rate off a list.

Most of the work is construction material — lumber and framing, drywall, pipe and fittings, conduit and wire, fixtures, hardware, fasteners, tile, palletized product, and staged fab orders, plus tools and light towable equipment. Qualified commercial freight is quoted too: palletized goods, business equipment, fixtures and inventory, machinery components, and supplier or warehouse transfers. Not heavy machinery, and no heavy-haul, crane, rigging, or oversized-permit loads. Hazardous or otherwise regulated material and temperature-controlled freight are out of scope. Which vehicle a load needs is decided from its dimensions, weight and handling when the run is quoted.

Send what is moving, where it is picked up, where it is going, and the window it has to land in. That is enough to quote the run, confirm the vehicle fits the load, and plan the coordination with your contact at the destination.
